About

Dillington House is Somerset’s residential centre for adult education as well as being the one of the region’s finest country houses.  It is also a venue for conferences and meetings and its residential accommodation is simply superb.  As you can imagine, Dillington is also the perfect venue for weddings, civil ceremonies and other social events.  The House dates back to 1580 but there has been a house on the site for well over a thousand years and probably much longer than that.  A chalybeate spring rises near to the house and this naturally occurring feature was probably why people gravitated to the location in the first place.  Today the house is situated in beautiful parkland a few metres above the River Isle floodplain.  This elevated position provides far and extensive views.
